All members of the UA community have the right to pursue their individual and collective goals in a healthy work and educational environment, one that is free of the effects of alcohol and substance misuse. As part of its effort to promote a drug free work and educational environment, UA has issued a comprehensive Drug-Free Campus and Workplace Policy.

The Drug-Free Campus and Workplace Policy applies to all members of the University community, including all full-time and part-time students, all full-time and part-time regular, temporary, and contingent on-call employees, including faculty, administration, and all exempt and non-exempt staff, and all student employees, graduate assistants, teaching assistants, interns and volunteers. Because there are additional considerations and applications for students on and off campus, the expanded policy with relevant appendices addressing these can be found in the Alcohol and Other Drug Policy for Students.

Additional policies for employees can be found in the Employee Handbook and in the Faculty Handbook. Additional resources for employees can be found in the Employee Assistance Program and through Wellness and Work-Life.

Additional policies for students such as Social Events Guidelines, Student Code of Conduct and other policies relating to Alcohol and Other Drugs can be found in Student Life Policies and through Student Health and Wellbeing.
